Our Commitment to Web Accessibility.

We are committed to providing an accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web.

Our Accessibility Target

We are working toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA as the standard for this website. These are internationally agreed-upon standards covering a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content usable. As we add new pages and functionality, designs, code, and content entry practices are checked against these standards.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. This website was recently rebuilt, and we are currently working through a documented remediation plan. We have not yet completed the full conformance testing described below, so we do not claim the site is fully conformant today. This page will be updated as that work is finished.

Accessibility Features On Our Website

The following improvements are in place:

  • Bypass Navigation: A "Skip to main content" link is the first item reachable by keyboard on every page.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Menus, dropdowns, accordions, forms, and carousels can be operated with a keyboard, and the element you are on shows a visible focus indicator.
  • Reduced Motion: If your device requests reduced motion, automatically advancing content stops. Moving content can also be paused manually.
  • Visual Contrast: Text and interface colors are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast thresholds.
  • Text Alternatives: Images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
  • Consistent Navigation: Navigation is laid out consistently, and the current page is identified to assistive technology.
  • Labeled Links and Buttons: Interactive elements have meaningful names, and links that open a new tab say so.

Known Limitations

We want to be straightforward about what is not finished:

  • Full manual testing with screen readers (such as NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack) across multiple operating systems and browsers has not yet been completed and documented.
  • Downloadable PDF documents on this site have not yet been audited for accessibility. If you need any document in a different format, please contact us and we will provide one.
  • Some content is provided by third parties, including embedded video, maps, our cookie-consent tool, and our admissions and payment forms. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content, and we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites to which we link.
