Uniforms

School uniforms for unity.

Del Mar Pines School requires uniforms for all students. Our uniforms help to create school pride, unity, and community spirit.

What to wear, and where to buy it.

Approved uniforms can be purchased through Land’s End or from the limited uniform supply at Target. Only approved uniforms are listed for purchase when you access the website using our school number. Please only purchase items that are approved for our school. Land’s End typically has several sales on school uniforms during the summer, and whenever we receive one we pass it along to all families.

Uniforms must be in good, clean condition with no holes or frays. Skirts and dresses may be no more than two inches above the knee. Leggings or tights are allowed, but only under a dress, skirt, or skort. Leggings may not be worn on their own, and sweatpants are not approved as uniform attire.

Students who come to school in non-approved attire will be sent to the office and given the proper attire to change into.

  • Crocs, open-toed shoes, and sandals

Normal day attire

Only approved uniform items are permitted, and shoes must be closed-toed. Athletic shoes should be worn on physical education days.

Spirit Day attire

On one designated day per month, students and staff may show their school spirit by wearing clothing that goes with the specific Spirit Day (i.e., Sports Day, 100th Day of School, Clash Day, Padre Day, etc.). If students choose not to participate in Spirit Days, school uniforms must be worn. Shoes must be closed-toed.

Free Dress attire

Typically, the last Friday of the month is designated a student Free Dress Day. School uniforms are also appropriate attire on these days if children choose not to wear Free Dress attire. Children get to choose to wear clothes that they want, which are still appropriate for school.
